Sustainability

We are a sustainable company, a pioneer in responsible and environmentally friendly manufacturing practices. Since the beginning of our business, we have been produced protective gloves ethically and responsibly from an environmental point of view.

KYORENE CO₂ Footprint

Through a comprehensive assessment conducted by SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, Kyorene has measured its greenhouse gas emissions across the entire life cycle of its gloves, from raw material extraction to disposal.
Following globally recognized standards like ISO 14040, 14044, and 14067, the assessment revealed that Kyorene’s use of graphene fiber in its gloves reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 30% compared to gloves made with traditional materials. This demonstrates how the potential of advanced materials and technologies can help reduce environmental impacts.

At Kyorene, Innovation meets Sustainability.

EcoVadis Certificate

QS Safety has been honored with an EcoVadis Gold Medal, a testament to our unwavering commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices.

The recognition placed us among the top 5% of participating companies, as evaluated by EcoVadis, the world’s leading provider of business sustainability ratings.

The EcoVadis assessment model encompasses four key pillars: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. QS Safety‘s achievement of the Gold Medal reflects our dedication to excelling in each of these critical areas.

GRS CERTIFICATE

Obtaining the GRS certificate (Global Recycled Standard) for polyester and graphene fibers demonstrates that these materials, in addition to offering antibacterial, odor neutralizing and thermoregulating actions, can help customers achieve sustainability goals.

Solar Energy

In 2007, QS Group established QS Solar as a new entity to further pursue doing its part for the environment.

QS Solar has become on of the most well-known solar companies in the world. It produces state-of-the-art solar panels for domestic and international customers and has invested in its own operations to make them more energy efficient.

  • $80,000,000 USD capital investment for a 500MW production capacity facility
  • QS Group & QS Solar are operating with more than 60MW of solar capacity
  • QS Group is able to harness 85% of their electricity demand from solar energy

Wastewater Treatment Facility

As part of the overall manufacturing plan, a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plan was designed and brought into QS Safety’s operation as far back as 2006; a step unheard-of at the time in China.

Waste Gas Control Facility

Another key component of QS Safety‘s operations is the use of an onsite waste gas control facility. QS does its part in managing air pollution output by using a state-of-the-art waste gas facility that far exceeds the standards in China.
